The Care Rights Project
The Care Rights Project provides free advice and advocacy for migrants with no recourse to public funds who also have care needs. The Care Act 2014 enables local councils to provide social care, which can include financial support and accommodation, to adults who have care needs, even if they have no recourse to public funds or no leave to remain. We work directly with people who need to access support, and we also assist other organisations by s providing training and advice on particular cases.
The Care Rights Project was established in 2021 and we now employ two part-time staff members. As a small, and relatively new charity we are looking for opportunities to grow and develop, so there will be plenty of scope for Trustees to help shape the future of the Project.
